What is a resin kit?

  • Self adhesive Mailbox Decals are an inexpensive way to add that special curb appeal to your home. Waterproof & UV protected Premium Grade Vinyl. Pre-spaced – Easy to apply and removable. Made in the USA. Decal will last for years without Read More.
  • Pre & Post Season. New in Riddell Box 2021. Oakland Raiders Football Vinyl Decal Sticker for NFL Car.

The main diference with a plastic kit is the fact you will have to clean the different parts, as the casting method uses silicon rubber moulds, which can let some layer of silicon on the parts, which can spoil the paint work.
Two solutions for cleaning : you can use aceton, and dip the parts of the kit for some seconds, then let dry (a fortnight), it is for me the easiest way ; aceton can be easily found and you can use it again ! Or you may use gentle hot water and cleaning powder with and old toothbrush, longer, and not realy easy for small parts.
The other advantage is that you have no mould lines on the body, preparation for painting is therefore more easy.

How to build a resin kit?

After having verified you get all the parts, please, read the instructions! There you will find the color references and the building order that will permit you to get a well finished model.
First, be sure to have some useful tools, basic for modeling:
-some small files, flat, round, square, triangular……
-sandpaper fine, medium.
-a small drill machine with Ø 0.5mm, 1 mm, 1.2 mm and 1.5 mm.
-small pliers, with square and point ends.
-a good cutting tool for the wheel axes.
-some glues of different types, cyanoacrylate for current work, epoxy two parts, a vinyl glue for the windows….
-for the paint, use Humbrol or Tamiya…for the small parts and detail and finish, you can use spray cans, but the best results will be obtained with a spray gun and acrylic or automotive paints. To figure the orange or red lights, first apply a coat of aluminium paint then use Tamiya clear colors.

You are now ready to begin!

Decals

DDD1: Mail Collection Policy Decal Is Now Available

Revised DDD1: ATTENTION Mail Collection Policy (formerly the 13-Ounce Rule)

The DDD1 decal is now available in eBuy2. The mission of the Anonymous Mail Program is to prevent anonymous mail from entering the mailstream and to promote the safety of all USPS® employees, customers, and transportation networks. A mailpiece can be identified that has been accepted at a retail service counter by the Postage Validation Imprint (PVI), metered postage, or by an AVSEC Clearance Stamp applied to the mailpiece.

The mail collection policy related to the acceptance of international mailpieces was revised on May 21, 2012, to include the new restrictions on international mailpieces that can be deposited in a blue collection box and all lobby drops.

The following items may not be deposited in a collection box:

n Any mailpiece that bears postage stamps and weighs more than 13 ounces.

Post Box Decal

Post Box Wall Decal

n Any mailpiece with a customs declaration form that was not completed and submitted online (handwritten).

n Any mailpiece that requires a customs declaration form and bears postage stamps.

These items must be presented to a USPS employee at a retail service counter at a Post Office™ location for shipment.

Decal DDD1, “ATTENTION Mail Collection Policy” label, has been revised, and an initial supply has been shipped to Post Offices™ with a blue collection box or lobby drop. Additional quantities of the decal are now available for order in English (DDD1) and Spanish (DDD1-S).

This decal is to be applied to all collection boxes and mail drops. Postmasters are required to ensure that all existing DDD1 decals are replaced or covered by the new DDD1 (August 2012 version) as soon as received by their unit. Instructions on how to apply the label can be found on the back of the decal. Additional information on installation of Decal DDD1 is available in Modification Work Order #MWO-015-07 which is posted at http://blue.usps.gov/nationalpreparedness/_pdf/mwo01507.pdf.
